That is really interesting!
I'm so happy...Wow! That is really interesting!

I'm so happy yours went well! I'm not sure how much I grew as a result from the surgery but I think it was an inch and a half...maybe. I can't remember. I was hoping it'd be more cause I'm so short! My scar is about a foot long too, not counting the one that wraps around.

I know! I'm so grateful that wasn't me! Your welcome! :)Sarehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01829472672254117776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-70070216937657079522012-02-03T14:01:41.244-06:002012-02-03T14:01:41.244-06:00Wow. My doctor told...Wow. I had the same type of story!

My doctor told me in 8th grade that I needed the surgery or my spine would continue to curve and crush internal organs. The surgery went successfully and now I'm playing college soccer. I grew 2 inches from my surgery and have about a foot long scar on my back.

The story of the girl with the 123 curve just is out of control, makes me feel extremely lucky that mine wasn't that bad. Thanks for sharing!Lindseynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-44310792062733427932011-12-09T21:27:18.273-06:002011-12-09T21:27:18.273-06:00Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! :( Gosh, 11?...Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! :( Gosh, 11? O.o Wow. Just one was bad enough for me, but 11? I don't know if I could take that.

I hope that someday doctors will be able to fix that to something better! I'll be praying for you.Sarehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01829472672254117776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-61766134049122027822011-12-08T21:35:24.161-06:002011-12-08T21:35:24.161-06:00I have severe kyphoscoliosis, and it is a struggle...I have severe kyphoscoliosis, and it is a struggle daily. Over 11 spinal fusions, and still little relief. You get used to it over time though, and just pray that one day technology will get better, and I may get a "normal" back.

You can read my scoliosis story at: www.bersbellablog.blogspot.comAmber Fryehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16769649887193896774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-4886887466886073902011-07-29T18:13:28.566-05:002011-07-29T18:13:28.566-05:00It must be! No, meds won't help.

Lol! Ever time I read an announcement or an ad I hear the same voice. That or the one that always seems to narrate movie trailers. I'm not sure if it's the same guy or not tho.Sarehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01829472672254117776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-8201438150432100542011-07-29T16:29:36.953-05:002011-07-29T16:29:36.953-05:00That must be very odd to see if someone was sittin...That must be very odd to see if someone was sitting in front of you and was squirming! I would think they're having a heart attack or something. Can't you take meds for it?

I imagined the part in quotations with the deep voice of the one man who seems to speak in every advert on tv!KamilleEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06845951906601926878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-52876096876921658602011-07-29T14:25:06.002-05:002011-07-29T14:25:06.002-05:00I do too! Although the twinges at night sure make me want to scream sometimes. They don't hurt but it's like have ants crawl up your spine every time you don't move. My doctor says they're just ghost feelings since they probably damaged some of my nerves during the surgery.

No they don't. I think that's a fine way to describe them, although some of the ones I looked at just looked like giant pieces of gauze wrapped around your torso. And others came in colors and you could put stickers on them.Sarehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01829472672254117776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6954787269965393587.post-20328361342456284782011-07-27T18:59:45.885-05:002011-07-27T18:59:45.885-05:00At least it's better?
